In-Person courses on an array of topics are available at the London Main Academy, the Tactical Training Center and regionally around the state.
For calendar year 2023, peace officers and troopers must receive 24 hours of CPT. The Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC) has approved the broad categories in which the required training must be completed.
The Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy Portal is a state-of-the-art electronic information system to provide Ohio’s law enforcement community access to in-person and online training opportunities. Additionally, the portal provides the public with visibility into the training officers receive.
OPOTA Online provides officers 24/7 access to relevant training in various disciplines.
You must have an approved account to access private content on the OPOTA Portal. Access is restricted to law enforcement, private security, and other government officials and will be validated during registration.
Users wishing to access In-Person Course Registration/CPT Management must create an account to utilize the Portal. To create a new account click the “Sign Up” at the top then “Sign Up Now” to create your account.
